SubjectDestruction of Panchayan Ghat Due to Construction of Road
Court Order
Precedent established When constructing a road from Buddhanagar to the Panchayan Ghat near the maternity home, if the road construction disrupts the interdependent relationship between the Bagmati River and the monasteries, temples, and other structures in the area, it will negatively impact the existence of various structures, such as Dharmashalas, Tik Ghat, Bhakari, monasteries, and temples, and also affect the values and beliefs of Hindu cultural heritage.
A directive is issued to the Local Administration Office and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City to ensure that unauthorized road construction activities are not carried out. (Para.21)
