Petitioner and RespondentAdvocate Bhojraj Ayer and others on behalf of Pro Public Vs. His Majesty’s Government Ministry of Water Resources, Singha Darbar and Others
SubjectDetermining the Pollution Threshold of Water Resources.
Court Order
Precedent established Although the written response from the Ministry of Water Resources indicates that pollution levels have not yet reached a critical threshold and that information will be published if such a condition arises, it does not appear that the Government under His Majesty the King has adequately fulfilled its responsibilities with respect to all actions.
Therefore, a directive order will be issued to the Government under His Majesty the King, specifically to the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Population and Environment, to ensure that necessary measures are taken to maintain required quality and manage pollution levels concerning various uses of water resources.
